Indication : It is mainly used for the treatment or prevention of systemic or local infections caused by the aforementioned anaerobes, such as the abdominal, digestive, female genital, lower respiratory, skin and soft tissues, bone and joint. It is also effective for septicemia, endocarditis, meningeal infection, and antibiotic induced colitis. Tetanus is often used in combination with Tetanus Antitoxin (TAT). It can also be used for oral anaerobe infection.
