Usage and Dosage:

Oseltamivir phosphate can be taken with or without food. However, in some patients, taking the drug with food may improve the tolerability of the drug. Oseltamivir phosphate dry suspension should be dispersed in water and shaken well before use.

Treatment of influenza: Treatment should be started on the first or second day (ideally within 36 hours) of the onset of influenza symptoms.

Influenza Prophylaxis: Oseltamivir phosphate should be started within 48 hours of close contact with an infected person for influenza prophylaxis, as well as during community outbreaks during influenza season.

Prior to administration, the product should be prepared as a suspension. Boxes are supplied with 3 ml and 10 ml oral applicators.

It is recommended that oseltamivir phosphate dry suspension be prepared by a pharmacist prior to distribution to patients.

Indication:

1. For the treatment of influenza A and B in patients 2 weeks of age and older (oseltamivir phosphate is effective in the treatment of influenza A and B, but there are not yet much data on the clinical use of influenza B). Patients should be administered within 48 hours of the first onset of symptoms.

2. For prophylaxis of influenza A and B in persons 1 year of age and older.
